How Adsense works is, adversiters need to advertise their websites, they use Google's Adword to do so. They pay Google for every visitor to their site, Google spreads the advertisers ads on websites signed up with Adsense that contain the same content. Everytime a person goes through the site and clicks on a Google Ad, you can paid a portion of what the adversiters paid per to Google.
